The Mentor of Lonemarsh House
Hi all.
This is just to update you… I am nearly through draft one of the next novel in ‘The Mentor’ series. This isn’t an on-going series, but a set of novels that are older/younger romance – what some call May to December romance. In this story, the older character, Matt Barrow, is 35, rich, successful but lacking love, and the younger, Jason Hodge, is 23, closeted and scared. As usual, in my Mentor books, it’s all about characters guiding and helping each other to fulfilment.
I have gone back to my roots and a favourite location for this story; a large and empty, rural marsh towards the south coast of England. You may have noticed that the Mentor books are set in remote locations. ‘Wildhill Farm’ is somewhere in the east of the country, where the hills meet the flatlands and miles from the nearest village. ‘Barrenmoor Ridge’ (fast becoming a best seller and racing to the top 130 at Amazon MM Romance) is set on a Yorkshire fell. Lonemarsh house is set on a marsh in summer, and although the house is not too far from a village, it’s still a quiet and romantic location.
There will be more about the story as we approach publication – hopefully in March, and there will be a preview of the cover here as soon as my wonderful designer has created it. She’s currently working on a cover for another of my books, so I’m not hassling her. Anyway, I still have to finish draft one of ‘Lonemarsh’, and then do draft two, edit it, and have it proofed, lay it out and publish it.
