Deviant Desire (release)

Deviant Desire (release)

Deviant Desire is ready to go for publication, just about. I’m just waiting for a couple of minor changes to the book cover for the print version, and after that, it should be uploaded. As usual, it’s a nervous time. Have I done the layout properly? It looks fine on my Kindle and other devices, but how will it look on other people’s? That kind of thing, but I shall press the button soon.

There will be a book tour for this one, the first in a new series, ‘The Clearwater Mysteries’, but that’s not until April 26th, so you have plenty of time to be the first to read the start of this new and on-going adventure. Here’s the blurb, you’ll have the links soon.

Deviant Desire Jackson MarshThe Victorian East End lives in fear of the Ripper and his mission to kill rent boys. Silas Hawkins, nineteen and forging a life on the streets could well be the next victim, but when he meets Archer, his life changes forever. Young, attractive and rich, Archer is The Viscount Clearwater, a philanthropist, adventurer and homosexual.

When Archer suspects the Ripper is killing to lure him to a confrontation, he risks his reputation and his life to stop the madman’s murders. Every man must play his part, including Silas.

A mashup of mystery, romance and adventure, Deviant Desire is set in an imaginary London of 1888. The first in an on-going series, it takes the theme of loyalty and friendship in a world where homosexuality is a crime. Secrets must be kept, lovers must be protected, and for Archer and Silas, it marks the start of their biggest adventure – love.

Praise for Jackson Marsh

“No usual tried tropes here. Great story, natural dialogue, well-developed characters, and an unpredictable plot.”

“Amazing. Jackson Marsh has written a compelling mystery and a wonderful love story both at the same time.”

Release: The Mentor of Lostwood Hall

Hi folks!

It’s now out there, The Mentor of Lostwood Hall, and already there are a couple of five-star reviews. It’s always gratifying to get good reviews, and interesting to get not so good ones, though I have only ever had one three-star review for my books, all the others have been four of five.

The mentor of lostwood hall“Some angst, some violence, some edge of your seat moments, but mainly a sweet love story.”

“I think this is my favourite story so far of this series. It is really well told and so descriptive.”

I’ve started offering 10 free copies of my novels to the first ten people who reply to the newsletter I send out when a book is about to be published. These subscribers then review the book in return. If you want to be in the running for the next free offer, join my mailing list.

I am currently working on the next novel, a diary form love story with a mystery and an adventure. The main characters are two eighteen-year-olds coming out, both have an interest in a certain gothic romance novel which leads them on a strange adventure… But I won’t say too much about it now, you’ll have to wait a while.

In the meantime, please do check out my author page and, if you can, leave reviews for the novels you’ve read. All of my titles are included in Kindle Unlimited if you use that, all the eBooks are set at $2.99 (with slight variation and in various currencies), and the paperbacks are at $9.99, mainly due to the cost of print on demand.

Happy reading!

I just wanted to share with you, the two models we’re using on the front cover of the soon to be released, The Mentor Of Lostwood Hall. Meet Julian, the older man who owns the rambling Hall in the Welsh mountains, and Lee, from south London who crashes his car nearby while fleeing an impossible life.

Lee

As usual with my Mentor books, you have new characters, a new location, romance, drama, some comedy and a love story. I am aiming to have the book released in May, and will probably be looking for ARC readers (Amazon Review Copies). If you are interested, join my mailing list.

Meanwhile, while I wait for my wonderful designer to design the cover, here is the blurb for The Mentor Of Lostwood Hall.

The Mentor of Lostwood Hall
Jackson Marsh

“A man with a future he can’t accept and a lad with a past he can’t escape.”

Two men in a storm-battered castle harbouring secrets and hopes unknowingly guide each other to an unexpected friendship that turns to passionate love.

Julian Ford’s life is at a crossroads. Thirty-four, disillusioned with his screenwriting career and cheated by love, he craves the chance of isolation at his rambling home in the Welsh mountains, Lostwood Hall. But when 21-year-old Lee Benson survives a car crash, Julian has no choice but to take him in.

Their pasts collide, bringing a storm of doubts, fears, a jealous ex-lover and a dangerous thug seeking revenge. Is Julian and Lee’s fledgeling relationship strong enough to survive? And do they trust each other enough to escape death?

The Mentor of Lostwood Hall is the fourth in Jackson Marsh’s ‘Mentor’ collection of older/younger MM romance.

The Mentor of Lonemarsh House is the third in Jackson Marsh’s ‘Mentor’ collection of older/younger gay romance novels.

The Mentor of Lonemarsh House

The Mentor of Lonemarsh House

Hi all.
This is just to update you… I am nearly through draft one of the next novel in ‘The Mentor’ series. This isn’t an on-going series, but a set of novels that are older/younger romance – what some call May to December romance. In this story, the older character, Matt Barrow, is 35, rich, successful but lacking love, and the younger, Jason Hodge, is 23, closeted and scared. As usual, in my Mentor books, it’s all about characters guiding and helping each other to fulfilment.

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge – Kindle and Paperback

I have gone back to my roots and a favourite location for this story; a large and empty, rural marsh towards the south coast of England. You may have noticed that the Mentor books are set in remote locations. ‘Wildhill Farm’ is somewhere in the east of the country, where the hills meet the flatlands and miles from the nearest village. ‘Barrenmoor Ridge’ (fast becoming a best seller and racing to the top 130 at Amazon MM Romance) is set on a Yorkshire fell. Lonemarsh house is set on a marsh in summer, and although the house is not too far from a village, it’s still a quiet and romantic location.

There will be more about the story as we approach publication – hopefully in March, and there will be a preview of the cover here as soon as my wonderful designer has created it. She’s currently working on a cover for another of my books, so I’m not hassling her. Anyway, I still have to finish draft one of ‘Lonemarsh’, and then do draft two, edit it, and have it proofed, lay it out and publish it. Meanwhile, you can always catch my other titles at my Amazon author page: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jackson-Marsh/e/B077LDT5ZL/

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge – Kindle and Paperback

John understood his inexperience and led the way. When John’s mouth opened around Gary’s shaft, and the heat of his throat engulfed it, Gary moaned loudly and threw his head back. He’d never known this sensation, never been so wanted, never been made to feel so special.”

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge is now available on Kindle (and in print in January 2018).

It takes a brave man to climb a mountain, but it takes a braver lad to show him the way.”

Both paths lead to the same destination, but are they walking them together?

The Mentor of Barrenmoor Ridge is the second in Jackson Marsh’s ‘The Mentor’ series of older/younger gay romance novels.

Review: The Mentor of Wildhill Farm

Review: The Mentor of Wildhill Farm

It’s always special when you get a review from another author. Here is what Jackie Keswick has to say about ‘The Mentor of Wildhill Farm.’

Follow four young men and their mentor on a journey of self-discovery and never look at writing retreats in the same way again.

This ticked a lot of boxes for me. A great sense of location combines with situations and emotions many of us will remember from our own pasts to form a vibrant backdrop for five beautifully drawn characters who stayed with me long after I turned the last page.

This is a deftly woven story that offers plenty of introspection and a touch of sweet spiced with surprise while also managing to come across as very, very sexy.

It’s one of those books where I’m hoping for sequel…

The Mentor of Wildhill Farm, a MM romance with a goodly amount of erotica is available in Kindle and paperback.

The Mentor of Wildhill Farm

The Mentor of Wildhill Farm

When Camden Stevens, a 42-year-old writer, is invited to mentor four gay youths at remote Wildhill Farm, he finds himself with a dream, come true.

Logan, the 18-year old virgin, Dean the troubled show-off and Kenny the farmer’s lad, both 19, and Gabriel, the 20-year-old esoteric, are all keen to develop their skills. Cam’s job is to mentor them in their writing and their sexuality – and he has carte blanche to do that in any way he sees fit.

The boys are launched on a week of self-discovery as they explore their writing and each other through a series of erotic games. Somewhere, in the mix of youth and sex, Camden unexpectedly finds love.
